The Journey Starts Here

Welcome to this new blog which will sit along the new YachtieFriends Site and follow the progress of a start up community for yacht lovers from its first day today all the way to becoming a fully fledged business further down the line. The main reason for doing this is that I find that there is a lot of secrecy with start ups and it can be very daunting for somebody trying to build a business for the first time and I would like to make this as transparent as possible. 

I will be posting as often as possible including videos when big events are happening and the best thing about this project is that everybody will have a say in how the business is run as if I am ever in doubt about what to do I will hold a poll to decide on the outcome. As you will see I have started building the site and this has been done by using the Ning Network to create a social network. This will form the base of the site but I am also using a professional developer to add some extended bespoke features which are being designed at the moment and will be revealed shortly.

I have also used web designer to give the network it’s own look and feel and the first drafts of these can be seen below. This is one of the first areas that I would love to get some feed back on so just leave a comment telling me what you would like to see changed on the designs.
